Colorado County Clerks and Recorders are the Chief Election Officials in their counties. In addition, they register and title motor vehicles, and are the recorders of real estate and other documents. They issue marriage and administer liquor licenses, and take official minutes for the Board of County Commissioners. A few County Clerks issue drivers' licenses and serve as the vital statistics registrar. They do not handle court matters.
